An 18-year-old Sallisaw man was arrested Sept. 15 and charged Sept. 24 in Sequoyah County District Court with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Tristin Oryan Hall entered a not guilty plea to the charges on Sept. 24, and his case was placed on Judge Larry Langley's Oct. 22 disposition docket. Sallisaw police reported that Hall was seen on Sept. 15 carrying a knife and a backpack. He was stopped by police, who found in the backpack two glass smoking devises with burned residue that tested positive for methamphetamine, syringes, a bent spoon, flip phone, two cut straws with residue, a small plastic bag and one lithium battery. Hall was taken into custody without incident. At the police station, Hall was questioned about his relationship with a teenage girl, and inappropriate photos of her on his phone. Hall admitted to the relationship and wrote a statement about the relationship but charges related to the relationship have not been filed. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
