On Tuesday, October 7, Muldrow Middle School teachers invited The Mix to interview sixth grade students who want to be employed in a media position. Their goal was to be chosen as a DJ or a news commentator for their part in the JA BizTown program in Tulsa. The program combines classroom concepts and relevant application at Junior Achievement's interactive JA BizTown facility. JA BizTown helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the world outside of the classroom. Interviews were conducted and the students were both receptive and excited about working for a radio station like KXMX. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
