In the past week Sequoyah County has witnessed a slow but steady increase in positive cases of COVID-19.
As of Monday, June 22 the county has recorded 26 positive cases, 7 of which are currently active, according to the Oklahoma State Dept. of Health (OSDH). There have been 16 recovered and 3 fatalities.
The numbers represent an increase of 5 cases since Monday, June 15.
Across the state of Oklahoma there have been 10,733 positive cases reported with 2,127 of those cases still considered active. 7,212 have recovered and there have been 369 fatalities.
The OSDH is reporting that there have been 271,925 individuals test negative statewide and hospitalizations have decreased to 197 with 93 in ICU.
