Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library is now offering hotspots for check out to resident library cardholders in good standing. The devices check out for one week and will provide free unlimited Internet access to personal devices.
Sequoyah County librarian Bethia Owens said she feels this is another step in helping county residents have access to technology.
“We offer children’s tablets, playaways and online subscriptions such as Mango, Hoopla and Learning Express for our library cardholders in addition to the new hotspots. We offer the in-house use of computers, Chromebooks and Wi-Fi. Libraries really help level the playing field in terms of making technology available to everyone in the community.”
