Laraine Hood was recently named September’s employee of the month at Northeastern Health System Sequoyah.
Hood is a patient registration specialist at NHS and has worked at the hospital for 17 years.
“Laraine is a huge asset to the hospital,” hospital administrator Stephanie Six said Thursday. “Her loyalty to the hospital and the community is second to none.”
“She is a wealth of knowledge because of her long tenure at the hospital and the many positions she has held there,” Six added.
The Sallisaw Kindness Krew presented Hood with a gift for her outstanding work at NHS.
The Kindness Krew is a nonprofit organization that was formed to meet needs at the local hospital. The group has already redecorated the mammography changing room and the hospice patient room, among other projects.
The hospital isn’t the only recipient of Kindness Krew assistance. The group has since expanded its services to meet needs throughout the community.
