Webbers Falls Get Funds to Repair Water Tower

Webbers Falls recently received a $15,000 donation from the Cherokee Nation to make repairs to the town’s water tower.

Cherokee Nation Council Member David Thornton of Vian requested the donation through the tribe’s special project fund

Webbers Falls Mayor Bob Ross said the water tower, at age 50, needed repairs.

He said, “The roof will be replaced. It was starting to rust. We’re going to sandblast it, paint it and hopefully make better water.”

Work on the tower should begin soon, he said.
