The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing 15-year-old.
Savannah Gwinn was last seen on June 21. Investigator Cindy Smith said Gwinn is listed as a runaway.
She was last seen on June 21. Smith said Gwinn left the rural home of her grandparents, with whom she lives, on Friday, June 17, and was due home on Monday, June 20. When she did not return home her grandparents reported her missing on June 21.
A while later, Gwinn did call home and left a text message, relaying she was happy and healthy, but not revealing where she was. An attempt to find her via her cell phone was unsuccessful, suggesting she may have purchased a new phone.
Gwinn is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes, and wears glasses.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office dispatch at 918-775-9155. Gwinn has been listed on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer.
