Rescue operations are underway for a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 40, westbound, between the 315-316 markers.
The crash was reported at about 11 a.m. Thursday.
Officials report the occupants are trapped in the vehicle that ran off the interstate nose first. Fire and rescue from Muldrow and Sallisaw and ambulances were dispatched to the scene. A medical helicopter is also on the way to help with the rescue.
Traffic is currently (12:35) backed up for more than two miles. Authorities are working to clear the roadway and hope to have it clear soon.
