Back-to-School Action in the Park will be held Aug. 6 at the Sallisaw City Park on the city’s west side on Sallisaw Creek.
This free event offers family-friendly events and is sponsored by area agencies and organizations.
The event runs from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and includes a water slide, a bouncy house, face painting, a photo booth, games, foods and door prizes and a boy’s and girl’s bicycle to be given away.
The Mix 105.1 will also be on hand for a live remote broadcast.
Organizers said over 400 attended the event last year.
This year’s sponsors include KiBois Community Action, People Inc., Creoks, the Cherokee Nation, Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, the Health & Wellness Center, the Sallisaw Youth Coalition, the Central Youth Coalition and The Mix 105.1.
