Two Arrested at Motel, Face Drug Charges

Sallisaw Police Chief Terry Franklin reported that Sallisaw police officers and members of the Drug Task Force, on June 23, served a narcotics search warrant at the Economy Inn Motel that resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

Dana Webb (Graham), 45, and Anthony Sean Taylor, 25, were both arrested after officers found substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana inside the motel room. Officers also found digital scales and pills. Both Webb (Graham) and Taylor were booked into the Sallisaw Jail and later transferred to the Sequoyah County Jail. 

Both suspects were charged June 29 in Sequoyah County District Court in Sallisaw with unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled, dangerous substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Taylor was released on June 29 on a $21,000 bond.

Webb was approved for a court-appointed attorney.

The pair’s next court appearance is slated for Aug. 3 on Associate District Judge Kyle Waters disposition docket.
