Lloyd Franklin Foreman
An arrest warrant was issued Aug. 4 for a Vian man who allegedly failed to register as a sex offender.
Lloyd Franklin Foreman, 52, faces up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $5,000 or both on the felony charge.
On July 21, an Alma, Ark., police officer was dispatched to a residence on report of a suicidal person. The occupant of the residence said her brother, Foreman, had been staying there after being dropped off by his girlfriend on July 13. The sister told the officer that Foreman had told her he was running from the law in Oklahoma because he possibly had a warrant.
The sister said Foreman had nowhere to live and was needing a place to stay. She said he had been living in Vian, but since his parents passed away, no one had paid the taxes and he had to leave the property.
Foreman's sister told him he had to leave her residence, but he got upset and told her he was going to commit suicide by jumping in front of a semi and said he would fight law enforcement and was not scared to go to jail.
Later, a Sequoyah County Sheriff’s deputy went to Foreman’s registered Vian address but no one was there and the travel trailer was closed with a padlock.
