Save Our Children March Set for Sunday

Organizers are gearing up for Sunday’s March to Save Our Children in Muldrow. The march will begin at 2 p.m. at Muldrow City Park and attendees will walk from there to Armstrong Bank and then return back to the park.

All proceeds will go to the Sequoyah County Children’s Advocacy Center, said Sabrina Odom, one of the event organizers.

Odom said Cindy Smith, an investigator with the Sheriff’s Office, is scheduled to speak at the event.

Organizers invite everyone to come out, bring signs and your voice.

Commemorative T-shirts are on sale, and with sizes from Youth XS to Adult 3XL, everyone is sure to find the perfect shirt, which is 100 percent cotton and will feature a red “X” and the words “Save Our Children,” Odom said.

To purchase shirts, visit the Muldrow First Church of the Nazarene’s Facebook page. All payments are due Friday, Aug. 21, and pickup will be Saturday, Aug. 22, at the church.

For more information, contact Odom at (479) 462-8632 or Kristen Carney at (479) 652-4770.
