Sallisaw Man Sought in Burglary Case

Zyan Haneberg

An arrest warrant was issued Aug. 3 for a Sallisaw man accused of burglary.

Zyan Neal Haneberg, 19, was charged with third-degree burglary and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property, both felonies.

According to a police report, on July 15, a Sallisaw police officer was dispatched to a Sallisaw residence in reference to stolen property.

The reporting party, Robert Glander, reported that he had gone to get his Taurus pistol out of his car, but it was missing. While speaking with a neighbor, Glander learned there had been a rash of burglaries in the neighborhood on June 26.

Glander said his wife called the Sallisaw Police Department to inquire about the burglaries and to see if the pistol had been recovered and she learned that it had been recovered during a previous arrest of Haneberg.

Haneberg faces up to five years in prison on the burglary charge and he faces up to six months in the county jail, a fine of up to $1,000 or both.
