City of Sallisaw Announces Change to Billing Procedures

On Friday the city of Sallisaw announced it will be adjusting its billing notification procedures as of January 22.

On this date, the city will cease sending out monthly disconnect notices for past due utility accounts. As of January 22, the original billing statement will serve as the only reminder of when utility bills are due. No further disconnect notices will be mailed. 

According to a statement released by the city, the elimination of disconnect notices will make the their billing functions more efficient and save on expenses. 

The city now offers many different ways to pay utility bills, including online payment, drop box, automatic draft and in-person at city hall. The city is urging all customers to take advantage of the various bill pay options that fit their specific needs and capabilities.
