The alleged theft of debit card numbers in Sallisaw led to the arrest of a Poteau woman on fraud charges.
Records show that Kasi M. Albert, 33, was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card number, a felony.
On Sept. 5, a Sallisaw Police Department officer met with Mario Sanseverino, who said he believed Albert had stolen his debit card numbers.
The man was able to provide bank statements showing several charges for online purchases totaling $1,485.26.
Sanseverino was notified about the fraudulent charges in a text message from his bank. He has since closed the account.
The fraudulent purchases were made using the Facebook Pay application and Sanseverino said Albert has been sending him text messages requesting money and threatening him and his former wife.
Albert’s bond was set at $5,000.
