State Rep. John Bennett welcomed Bill Kokendoffer, president of the Mid-America Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of American, and his wife, Belinda, to the state Capitol on Veterans Appreciation Day. The couple is from Vian.
The House and Senate held a joint session March 27 to recognize the men and women who have served in the military.
“I’m so thankful to Mr. Kokendoffer for his service to our nation and his sacrifice on behalf of our safety and freedom and his continued work for our nation’s paralyzed veterans,” Bennet said. “It was an honor to recognize him alongside the many veterans who visited the state Capitol for Veterans Appreciation Day.”
