The City of Sallisaw, represented by newly-elected Mayor Ernie Martens (holding proclamation), signed the proclamation on Monday declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month with the Sallisaw Police Department Special Victims Unit, Sallisaw Police Department, and the Sequoyah County MDT child abuse task force.
