$2.5 Million Contract Awarded to Fix County Road

A contract was awarded last week to grade, drain, resurface and do bridge work on a county road over Brushy Creek north of Sallisaw, State Senator Mark Allen (R-Spiro) and State Rep. John Bennett (R-Sallisaw) announced Thursday.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), the project will be on County Road NS-462 about seven miles north of Sallisaw.

Allen said ODOT awarded the nearly $2.5 million contract to Glover & Associates Inc. of Muskogee. The company was the lowest of two bidders on the job, Bennett said.

The project is expected to be completed in four months once construction begins.
