Beginning Wednesday, Northeastern Health System-Sequoyah will be distributing 200 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to qualified recipients, Eric Carter, the hospital’s director of operations, said Monday.
The shots will be distributed through Friday, Carter said, and the hospital will vaccinate those on its waiting list. If you or someone you know need a vaccine, call (918) 774-1100 to get on the list.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine, unlike the two-dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, is a one-dose vaccination that is good for a year, similar to the flu shot, Carter said.
Carter also said the hospital will be working on getting everyone caught up on their second COVID-19 vaccine doses starting Tuesday.
