A Roland man who was arrested Nov. 26 on outstanding warrants was also charged with bringing contraband into a jail facility.
Records show that Tyler Shane Wann, 31, brought a marijuana smoking device into the Sequoyah County Jail.
A pair of Sequoyah County Sheriff’s deputies went to Wann’s Roland home to serve the warrants on Nov. 26, the report shows. Wann’s grandmother gave the deputies permission to enter the home.
Once inside, the deputies found Wann in bed asleep. Once awakened, Wann was arrested and taken to the jail. At the jail, Wann was asked to empty his pockets. He pulled out the smoking device, which has been sent to the state Crime Lab for testing.
Wann’s outstanding warrants are for lewd molestation, motion to revoke and failure to comply, according to the police report.
Bond was set at $15,000. Wann’s next court appearance is at 9 a.m. Jan. 22, 2020.
The contraband charge is a felony punishable by imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for 1-5 years, a fine of up to $1,000 or both.
