Brandy Foreman
A junior high teacher with the Central School District pleaded not guilty Dec. 11 to four felony sexual battery charges, Sequoyah County District Attorney Jack Thorp said Friday.
Brandy Lynn Foreman, 29, was arrested Dec. 5 in Sallisaw after an investigation by the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office. Central Superintendent Larry Henson requested the inquiry after allegations surfaced that Foreman had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with at least two current students and one previous student at Central Public Schools.
In interviews with law enforcement, Foreman admitted to having had sexual contact with the teens. Investigators also interviewed the victims, who acknowledged that the incidents occurred, mostly in Foreman’s car.
The probable cause affidavit states that one of the students reported sexual relations with Foreman began in 2017 when the two talked “sexually through the social media application Snapchat.” The teen also reported receiving nude photos of Foreman, also via Snapchat.
Foreman admitted having sexual contact with the teen three times, the last being in June and July of 2019, and pointed out that the boy graduated in May.
Another student reported that between June and August 2018, Foreman would pick him up in her car and the two would drive around Sallisaw and end up on a Sequoyah County back road, where the two would have sex. Foreman provided condoms for use during the sexual contact, the investigator’s report indicates.
The teacher has been placed on administrative leave from Central Public Schools, where she taught junior high English and was a cheerleading coach, according to the school’s website.
Foreman was released on $20,000 bond. She faces up to 10 years in prison on each count. Her next court appearance is set for 9 a.m. Jan. 29, 2020, Thorp said.
