Vian Schools is holding an open house for parents and students from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. The first day of classes for students will be Aug. 11.
Vian School Superintendent Victor Salcedo said the open house will give parents a chance to meet their children’s teachers, visit classrooms and for the high school students to pick up their schedules.
Parents may also find out more about the free breakfast and lunch program the school is initiating this year.
Vian teachers will report for the new school year on Aug. 8.
