Kansas City Southern Railroad (KCS) will close the South Dogwood railroad crossing in Sallisaw beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday for about eight hours.
KCS will be doing concrete work at this crossing preparing for future installation of cross arms. The reason for the short notice on the closing is they have learned they have an eight-hour window of opportunity when no trains are scheduled for that area.
KCS does not expect the work to take the full eight hours and will reopen as soon as soon as possible.
