As cases of COVID-19 spread across the nation, rumors of individuals testing positive within Sequoyah County have also spread.
However, as of Monday morning, the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) confirmed that there have been NO positive test results in Sequoyah County.
Current statistics for the State of Oklahoma show that there have been 81 positive tests, 2 deaths, 15 people hospitalized and almost 1,000 negative tests.
The closest known cases of COVID-19 to Sequoyah County include one case in Muskogee County and somewhere between 1-4 cases in Sebastian County in Arkansas according to the Arkansas State Dept. of Health.
