Vian Pedestrian Injured in Vehicle Accident

A Vian man was injured Thursday, Nov. 15, after a vehicle struck him as a pedestrian.

Myron Collins, 58, of Vian, was struck by a 2010 Mazda sedan, driven by Gloria Nichols, 19, of Van Buren.

The accident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday on a county road four miles north of Vian in Sequoyah County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Nichols was southbound on the county road, and was apparently distracted by a dog in the cab of the vehicle, and struck Collins.
