The holidays are marching upon us and the Roland Chamber of Commerce is preparing early by posting the entry form for their Dec. 8 Christmas parade on their website.
A “Smalltown Country Christmas” is the theme of this year’s parade, which will hit the streets at noon on Dec. 8. Line up begins at 9:30 a.m. at the high school.
The chamber offers cash prizes in three categories – nonprofits, antique cars and open – with $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $50 for third.
The parade offers eight classes for float, band, choir, truck, horseback, four-wheeler, tractor and other.
Entry forms may be found on the chamber’s website, and should be returned to P.O Box 492, Roland, Okla. 74954 or emailed to DRichards@firstar-bank.com.
