The Sallisaw 3rd Grade Junior Black Diamonds defeated Van Buren Green 19-14 on Saturday to win the Bi-State Youth League Championship.
This is the second year in a row for three of the those players to win the championship; Tyson Wilson, Patrick Thibodeaux, and Creek Lattimore. A spokesperson for the team said that all of the players "proved that winning runs deep and are excited for the next season."
The group was led by Head Coach Treston Wilson and assistant coaches Seth Lattimore, Keith Miller, Walter Davis, and Josh Brackett.
