Broadway Joe’s Shares Thanksgiving Table with Others

After several years of not offering a Thanksgiving Day lunch, one Muldrow restaurant is once again offering a free traditional Thanksgiving meal on the holiday.

“In the spirit of paying it forward, and thanking God for His many blessings, Broadway Joe’s Cafe will be opening our doors again this year to host our 19th annual Thanksgiving Dinner to serve free meals to anyone who wishes to join us at our table,” said Marina Morgan, cafe owner.

Morgan said the cafe will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day to serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal, complete with homemade chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, seasoned green beans, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, hot roll, dessert and tea to drink.

The meal is served each year in honor of Pauline Morgan, owner Joe Morgan’s mother, who instilled in her seven children the importance of helping others.

Morgan said donations will be accepted that day, and will be used to help needy families at Christmas.

Broadway Joe’s Cafe is located at 313 W. Shawntel Smith Blvd. in Muldrow; for information, call 918-806-5304.
