Gore Public Schools will celebrate Veteran’s Day with a special program at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in the new Event Center at 1200 N. Highway 10, in Gore next to the high school. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a wreath presentation at the town’s Veteran's Memorial next to Gore Senior Nutrition Center. All local veterans and their families are invited to a special luncheon in their honor at the high school cafeteria following the wreath ceremony.

The Cherokee Nation will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony Friday, Nov. 9, at the Cherokee Nation Veterans Center in Tahlequah. The Cherokee Nation Veterans Appreciation Day event starts at 9 a.m. and includes a wreath-laying ceremony, cultural activities, a resource fair as well as lunch provided to veterans.

Sallisaw’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, on the lawn at Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library in downtown Sallisaw. The public is invited and encouraged to attend to honor and remember those who have served our country.
