Vian School Superintendent Victor Salcedo has been named the District #11 School Superintendent of the Year by the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators (OASA).
He follows in the footsteps of Scott Farmer, the former Sallisaw School Superintendent, who won the award last year.
In a press release, OASA explained nominations and selections are made by the members of OASA in the 20 OASA districts. Superintendents are recognized for what they have contributed to the profession through leadership and advocacy for public education.
Salcedo was honored at the OASA Awards Banquet in Norman on June 6. The award nominates Salcedo for the organization’s state Superintendent of the Year award.
Salcedo has been Vian School Superintendent since 2013. Salcedo said he is humbled by the award, and thankful to the community and school system.
