Drug Investigation Leads to Guilty Plea


The U.S.  Attorney’s Office in Muskogee, announced that Anton Grguric Jr., 46, of Choctaw, Oklahoma pled guilty to Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, punishable by not less than 10 years and up to life imprisonment, up to a $10,000,000.00 fine, or both. 

The charges arose from an investigation by the Sallisaw Police Department, the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
               
The Indictment alleged that on or about February 6, 2017, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma, the defendant, did knowingly and intentionally possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.

Steven P. Shreder, U.S. Magistrate Judge accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.

Assistant U.S Attorney Christopher Wilson represented the United States.
