Carl Albert State College hosted a Counselor Breakfast Wednesday at the Poteau campus, with 26 schools represented by over 50 people.
During the meeting a $500 scholarship drawing went to Amanda Garner from Vian High School. She will present the scholarship to a Vian student planning to attend CASC.
Marsha Caughern, welcomed guests and spoke about the CASC Scholars Program. CASC Recruiter Randy Armstrong gave a recruitment update, CASC Registrar/VA Coordinator Dee Ann Dickerson discussed concurrent enrollment, and Marsha Caughern, CASC Upward Bound Academic Advisor/CASC National ACT Coordinator, gave a National ACT update.
Humphreys said, “I feel this was a great success, and we are looking forward to making this an annual event. The goal was to strengthen our partnerships, and hear what schools and students truly need. The event provided a great opportunity to network, learn about exciting CASC updates, and discuss ways to collaborate on student success.”
