Two area women were reported injured in a vehicle crash at about 5:25 p.m. Sunday on State Highway 82, about 11 miles south of Tahlequah at Stones Throw Road.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported Jessica Brittain, 28, of Cookson was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram truck south on State Highway 82 when she lost control, ran off the road to the right, then came back onto the road and off to the left where the truck struck a tree.
Brittain was transported by Northeast Health Systems to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where she was admitted in stable condition with arm injuries.
Krista Condon, 25, of Vian was transported by Cherokee Nation EMS to Northeast Health Systems Hospital where she was treated and released with trunk internal injuries.
The OHP reported three children in the truck were not injured. They included two girls, ages 7 and 4, both of Cookson and a boy, age 6, of Vian. The OHP does not release the names of juveniles.
