Local Student Lifeflighted After Vehicle Accident



A local high school student was life flighted after being involved in a one vehicle accident in the Central area at approximately 8:30 p.m. The accident occurred in the vicinity of the Central railroad crossing. A life flight helicopter landed in the football practice field at Central High School to transport the injured student.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Pafford EMS responded to the accident.

It is believed that the individual was seriously injured and flown to a Tulsa hospital for medical treatment. The student's name has not been released at this time.

Eye witnesses originally reported that a worker at the site of the recent train derailment had been injured. However, that information was incorrect.
