Eastern Workforce Teaming Up with Cherokee Services


Eastern Workforce is teaming up with Cherokee Nation Career Services in Sallisaw at the same location, at 100 E. Choctaw Ave., where the Workforce staff will now be located.

Eastern Workforce helps job seekers find training and jobs.

An open house to celebrate the partnership will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Thursday. Cherokee Nation Principle Chief Bill John Baker will perform the ribbon cutting.

Isaac Barnoski from Workforce will be meeting the public along with his staff and staff from Cherokee Nation Career Services, Human Services, Indian Child Welfare and the Tax Commission.

Door prizes will be given away and refreshments will be served at the open house.
