A Multiple Sclerosis Walk will be held Oct. 8 in Gore.
The event is to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis (MS) and funds to fight the disease.
Larry Vinson, MS victim and captain of Larry’s Team, said, “MS is a debilitating disease of the central nervous system and can cause many different symptoms. You might see us on the street and not even notice the slight foot drop or the unsteady gait, but we are out there. Some of us are in wheel chairs, and some are fortunate, like me, to be able to get around with a cane even though we may be in pain while doing so.”
Vinson’s team is seeking donations for the cause. He may be reached at 918-776-3838.
“We need to fund research to stop this crippling disease in its tracks,” Vinson said. “With your generous donation we will make a great effort to halt this disease. Be assured every dollar will go to the national MS Society.”
The Multiple Sclerosis Walk will begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 at the Gore Tag Office.
A live and silent auction will also be held to raise funds for the cause.
