We will be inviting all candidates running for offices that affect not only Sallisaw but all of Sequoyah County. This will include local, county, state and national offices in which candidates have filed for office.”
Martens said the candidates who attend will be given a chance to tell the audience about themselves, their families, their background and what makes them the best person for the position they are hoping to fill.
Each candidate will then be asked a series of questions by an impartial moderator. The questions will deal directly with their desired office.
Each candidate will also be given a chance to make closing remarks.
The Forum will be broadcast over The Mix 105.1 radio and MixTV Channel 19 on Diamond Net so all residents will have the opportunity to “meet the candidates” in their own homes.
