A blown transformer at the OG&E substation in Muldrow shut down power to Muldrow and rural-area customers for about 37 minutes Wednesday evening.
An OG&E spokesman said 2,938 customers were without power. That substation also serves some Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative customers, but a co-op spokesman did not have a report as of Thursday morning on where and how many customers were effected.
The power outage was first reported at 8:28 p.m. and power was reported restored at 9:05 p.m.
