Brent and Sallisaw Fire Departments were dispatched to a mobile home fire at about 12:50 p.m. Thursday on Wild Horse Mountain Road, about two miles west of U.S. Highway 59 south of Sallisaw.
The firefighters had the kitchen fire extinguished within minutes of arriving.
Above, Steven Armstrong and Jarret Hetherington of the Sallisaw Fire Department remove a fan from the mobile home. The fans are used to remove smoke from the structure so the firefighters could more easily extinguish the blaze and make sure the fire was out.
There was minimal damage to the home, the firemen reported, and was located in the kitchen and the kitchen cabinets.
