Sallisaw Crash Injures Little Rock Woman

A Little Rock woman was injured Friday in a car accident on Interstate 40, 1.8 miles east of Sallisaw.

Melissa Robinson, 42, was traveling westbound on I-40 when her 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe left the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. The vehicle continued to travel, overturning one-and-a-half times, coming to rest on its top.

Robinson was pinned in the vehicle for about an hour before being freed by the Sallisaw Fire Department using the Hurst tool.

Robinson was transported by Medi-Flight to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., where she was admitted in good condition with arm and leg injuries.
