One Life-flighted After Accident


One person was life-flighted after a single vehicle accident Monday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

The accident occurred at approximately 3:22 p.m. on North View Road, one mile east of US Highway 59, 11 miles north of Sallisaw.

According to the OHP report, Steven Miller, 64, of Sallisaw, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when he "struck a concrete curve and overturned one time."

Miller was transported by Air Evac to Washington Regional in Fayetteville, Ark. He was admitted in stable condition with head, arm, leg and internal and external trunk injuries.

The cause of the accident was listed as inattention.
