A car accident Saturday in LeFlore County left a teenager critically injured, an accident report reveals.
The mishap occurred at 9:29 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 59, about one-tenth of a mile north of State Highway 31.
A 2007 GMC Sierra pickup driven by Michael Taylor, 19, of Shady Point was southbound on Highway 59 when it departed the roadway to the left, entering the median and rolling twice. A 15-year-old unidentified Spiro resident was ejected from the pickup in the crash.
According to the accident report, Taylor was under the influence of an unidentified intoxicant when the crash occurred.
Taylor was uninjured in the crash, but the teen suffered head injuries and was airlifted to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, where she was admitted in critical condition.
