On Friday, May 8 TSET Healthy Living grantees from People Inc. dedicated a Blessing Box to the Community of Belfonte. The purpose of the blessing box is to secure access to food for those living in the Belfonte Community, according to Lindsie Dyer, TSET Program Director.
Belfonte Schools Superintendent Paul Pinkerton partnered with the organization to place the Blessing Box.
The box is located on the right side of the parking lot of Belfonte Public Schools. Dyer stated that although the blessing box is placed on school property it is available for all Belfonte Community members to utilize.
“I am very grateful for the relationship Mr. Pinkerton and I have developed over the past two years and look forward to continuing our work and collaboration efforts in the years to come,” Dyers said.
There are now blessing boxes in all of the following Communities: Belfonte, Liberty, Moffett, Brushy, Roland, Muldrow, Sallisaw, Vian and Gore.
