A Gans man was charged May 13 with malicious injury to property, a felony.
Jacob Andrew Killingstad, 30, faces up to two years in the State Penitentiary on the charge.
Records show that at 3 p.m. April 30, a Sequoyah County Sheriff’s deputy was on duty at the Sequoyah County Jail. While in booking, the jail administrator asked the deputy to come to the south pod, where Killingstad, an inmate, had broken the sprinkler head.
When the deputy arrived in south pod, he saw water running under the cell door and saw Killingstad standing on the cell’s toilet hitting the sprinkler head.
Killingstad allegedly broke a sprinkler head in another cell on May 4. His next court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 3.
