Patients with compromised immune systems are urged to apply for a one-time, per-person $500 grant for an emergency food assistance program.
The program is designed for patients living with cancer, multiple sclerosis or rheumatoid arthritis who have had their ability to access or afford food affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Team Rubicon, an agency that serves veterans, recently announced the program. Grant recipients do not have to be veterans or their family members. The food is delivered by veterans.
