OESC Accepting Applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance

The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission is accepting applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance as a result of severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding that began on May 7, 2019 and continues.

Under Presidential Disaster Declaration (FEMA-4438-DR) dated June 1, 2019, workers who lost their jobs and self-employed individuals who have been unable to work due to the disaster may be eligible for DUA benefits.

Applications for DUA must be submitted by July 5; applications submitted after that date will be considered untimely, unless the individual provides good cause for filing after the deadline.
