CASC Regent Dwight Spencer Recognized for Outstanding Year of Service

(l to r) Dwight Spencer and Dr. Jay Falkner

On Monday, June 3, Carl Albert State College President Dr. Jay Falkner recognized outgoing-chair of the CASC Board of Regents, Dwight Spencer, with an award for his exemplary service to CASC throughout the last year.

“Regent Spencer has been a champion for CASC since day one,” said Dr. Falkner. “He has answered after-hours and weekend phone calls, attended countless events on both our campuses, and been a champion for our institution in both LeFlore and Sequoyah counties. It’s been a pleasure working with him as our Board Chair over the last year and I look forward to many more years to come with Regent Spencer on our Board.”

Regent Spencer is a Sallisaw native and has served CASC as a Regent for three years.

“This has been an incredible year for us at CASC,” said Spencer. “My father, Buddy Spencer, has been actively involved with CASC’s Development Foundation for years and loves to share the phenomenal opportunities that are available at CASC with everyone he knows. I had heard the stories for some time, but what has stood out to me the most since becoming involved with CASC is the relationships and involvement each employee has within their community. It’s been a privilege to join the outstanding individuals of CASC and serve as the Board Chair throughout the last year.”
