The annual Sallisaw Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of the Nazarene.
The church is at 1000 N. Wheeler Ave.
At the service offerings will be taken of canned goods and non-perishable food items for the Thanksgiving baskets to be given to those in need by Catholic Charities in Sallisaw. MaryLynn Lufkin with Catholic Charities said they are in great need of stuffing mixes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans, and any other items appropriate for the holiday. The deadline for donations is Sunday.
The community service is sponsored by the Sallisaw Area Pastor’s Fellowship, which invites all area churches to join in for an evening of praise and thanksgiving to God.
The service will include the thanksgiving message, music and worship. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.
