Food Drive Kicks Off for Christmas Giving


The Sequoyah County Coordinated Community Response and Sexual Assault Response Teams (CCR/SART) is taking food donations to fill baskets for Christmas dinners for those in need.

The food drive is kicking off early this year to give everyone the opportunity to participate.

The following is a list of items needed:

-25 turkeys, 15 pounds or more

-50 boxes of stuffing

-25 large boxes or 50 small boxes of instant potatoes

-75 cans of green beans

-75 cans of corn

-25 sacks of sugar

-25 sacks of flour

-25 gallons of milk

-25 one-pound packages of margarine

-50 packages of turkey gravy mix

-25 dozen eggs

-25 cans of cranberry sauce

-25 loaves of bread

Donations may be dropped off at the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office in Sallisaw.
