Sallisaw Man Killed in Wreck

A Sallisaw man was killed early New Year's Day the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. The OHP said Jean Thomas Craig, 21, of Sallisaw was driving a 2000 Jeep in LeFlore County when he lost control and the vehicle rolled three and a half times. Craig was pronounced dead at the scene by LeFlore County EMS. He suffered neck, head and internal trunk injuries. A passenger, Benjermen (sic) Wert, 20, of Fort Smith was transported by LeFlore County EMS to Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith where he was listed in serious condition with massive internal and external injuries. The OHP reported Craig was driving east on Rosedale Hill Road five miles south and four and one-tenth miles west of Bokoshe when he lost control and the Jeep left the road to the right, came back to the left, then rolled three and a half times.
